Just Over 3 Weeks To Go Until Christmas
With the hunting season well into full swing, we are pleased to annouce that we have one way stretch breeches at reasonable prices.
We also now have a lady in house knitting beagle stockings, so we can produce any colour to order.
With only just over 3 weeks to go until Christmas we are approaching the deadline for special orders.
Hunting Season
Hunting Season is now well under way and the orders are pouring in. We have sorted out the problem with the one way stretch cloth for breeches and are well into production, prices start at £102.00. We have also solved the shortage of Beagle Stockings for we have a lady hand knitting them for us, so orders can be readily executed.
With less than 8 weeks to the Opening Meets, please do not leave your urgent needs to the last minute.
Good Hunting.
Honiton Hound Show – Thursday 4th
Honiton Hound Show on Thursday 4th started in fear and trepidation that it was going to pour with rain all day, however by 10.30 the sun came through and coats came off and umbrellas came down.
The local foxhound packs were well represented but several from further afield were absent because of kennel cough.
The major honours, as in previous years went to the VWH and Ian had great pleasure in presenting them with the prized Hunting Horns, just to add to the collection.
As a decision was made sometime ago to rotate the Hunting Horn Presentation, next year it will be the turn of the Beagle and Harrier Classes.
Calcutt’s Hunting Coats in scarlet and green were very much in evidence, in many cases covered in ribbons, and Ian arrived back on Friday with plenty of repairs.
The Show Season is over and now we can get on with Hunting, which has already started on Exmoor, and with Autumn Hunting in mind, we have a very good selection of mens hacking jackets from a bankrupt clearance at very reasonable prices.
We have had notification that the long awaited one way stretch breeches cloth will be available with the next fortnight, so we shall have stock by the end of the month. White and Beige breeches at affordable prices.
Honiton Hound Show – August 4th
With the passing of Ardingly and Peterborough Hound Shows the summer seems to be flying by, and in a few weeks time we shall see the Staghounds hunting again.
No doubt with the likelihood of a late harvest the foxhounds will be late in starting, however we are gearing ourselves up for a busy season and the major problem with the supply of one way stretch cloth will be resolved in August. We hope we can keep the price at £102.00 including VAT.
Ian Compton will be at the Honiton Hound Show on August 4th and will be happy to discuss any requirements. He will be presenting Hunting Horns to the Champion Dog and Bitch in the Foxhound Classes.
